Global PSSL and Confide Platform Unite to Enhance Sustainable Finance Governance
The Global Principles for Sustainable Securities Lending Community Interest Company (Global PSSL CIC) is thrilled to announce a strategic partnership with the Confide Platform aimed at revolutionizing internal accountability and governance within sustainable finance.
In this groundbreaking collaboration, Global PSSL Secretariat will leverage the advanced capabilities of the Confide Platform to ensure the confidential, efficient, and transparent resolution of grievances and internal conflicts. This initiative aligns with their commitment to uphold and enhance the Principles and other issued standards and recommendations [see here]. Looking ahead, Global PSSL plans to extend this service to their wider network, bolstering efforts to improve securities finance and advance broader sustainable $€£¥ trillions through the innovative 3P Transparency initiative (which we are co-creating with inputs from United Nations reviewers).
Beyond enhancing accountability, this partnership will see long-term collaboration between the leadership of Global PSSL CIC and Confide Platform. This synergy aims to inject more factual discourse into the public arena, benefiting multiple stakeholders across the sustainable finance sector.
Radek Stech, CEO & Founder of Global PSSL CIC expressed his enthusiasm: “At Global PSSL, our mission has always been to drive genuine improvements in the securities lending value chain. However, like many in the sustainable finance field, we encounter significant hurdles that can be mitigated through stronger governance. Our alliance with Confide creates a safe environment for market change-makers, shielding them from obstacles that impede positive change. This partnership is a significant step towards healing governance aspects of sustainable finance in the long-term.”
Pav Gill, Founder & CEO of Confide added: “The Confide Platform provides, among other things, an anonymous and fully encrypted channel through which to report misconduct, compliant with applicable law and directives such as the EU Whistleblowing Directive. This simplifies the complex standards and protections required for anonymous whistleblowers, ensuring a secure and effective reporting mechanism.”.
Michael Riggs, Programme Advisor at Global PSSL Secretariat said: “Global PSSL is a standard founded on transparency and fair business practices. It has continued to evolve to ensure it is fit for purpose to achieve its mission. By allying with Confide, we offer a mechanism by which concerned parties can anonymously and efficiently resolve any potential grievances. It is a clear sign that Global PSSL will not only promote good governance, but it will also lead through action.”
